While everyone this time of year is sharing their 2025 highlight reel of accomplishments (proud of all of you, truly). I wanted to keep it real and share what goals I didn’t accomplish in 2025.
First, looking back on the past year, I had a lot of highs and a lot of lows. I have heard it was the year of the snake and meant to shed what no longer serves you. My gosh, if that isn’t true, then I don’t know what is. I shed everything from pounds of fat to what I thought was a long-term career. I shed tears of sadness, madness & frustration, but also tears of joy when I thought I wanted something and it became so crystal clear that it wasn’t the right path for me.
1. More Patient and Present Mom
I wish I could say that this was a goal that I crushed this year. Being a mom and dealing with mental health battles is something that no know can prepare you for. My old job was a really big factor in everything. Now that I have moved on, healed the fractured parts of myself, I truly want to become a better mom in all ways that I can.
2. 2 Blog Posts a Month
I only posted 7 total all year. Currently working on a huge blog/ brand update. Stay tuned! Lots of exciting updates coming.
3. Read a Self-Improvement Book a Month
I read 0. I firmly believe you need to be in a good mind space to absorb helpful information, and truly I wasn’t until recently. My TBR of books I would love to read grows by the day, and I finally feel ready to consume the information. I did however beat my books read goal on my Kindle.
4. Move My Body 30 min. A Day
My health & wellness journey was a STRUGGLE thisyear. I gained a bunch of weight, lost all my hair, hired a trainer, and now am on the road of becoming the healthiest, most fit and confident version of myself. This goal is becoming a sustainable habit in 2026.
5. Promote to District Manager With Arbonne
Not because it is too hard to build this business, but because of my inconsistency in showing up. I also was trying to make my business match others and so the authenticity wasn’t there for me to grow. You can’t do something halfway or mimic someone else, and expect to get the highest reward. Consistently amplifying is coming to 2026.
6. Say NO More Often
This didn’t happen at all! In fact my helium hand was the worst it has been. I can’t tell you the amount of times this year that I said “I am so overwhelmed with everything on my plate” or “I really don’t know why I said yes to this when I don’t have the time or energy”. Really focusing on only saying YES to things that amplify my life in 2026.
Although this year had a lot of growth and learning moments, I will say a lot of great things did happen. We bought and moved into our house. We traveled to new places. I got better at golf. I was pushed out of a career that left my eyes opened, stunned of the realization of all the things that I was letting consume my life for a job. A door closed and another opened on a new career path (announcement coming soon). We hosted our first holidays in our house. I hired a trainer and lost 13 pounds while drinking more water and eating more clean food than ever before.
This year may not have looked like you had hoped when prepping for a new year. I will say though, I am grateful for everything that happened, the harsh lessons I have learned, and the love that surrounded me and my family this year. 2026 already has some pretty amazing things in the books and I can’t wait to soak it all up.
xo, kaylee
