Do you struggle with dry skin? Living in Idaho plus the brutal winter months, it’s the worst for me. Hydration really helps our skin health and keeps our skin looking youthful. Here are my 5 hydrated skin essentials.
Step 1: Hydrating Essence or Hydrating Serum
The perfect first step in your skincare regimen. Really helps prep your skin for all your other products and that first hydration boost.
Step 2: Vitamin C Serum
The holy grail of skincare. Vitamin C helps brighten your skin and helps diminish pigmentation (melasma, etc.)
Step 3: Moisturizer
If you use one skincare product, it needs to be a moisturizer day and night. An easy step to help take care of your skin and helps your make up go on smoother
Step 4: SPF
Usually a product that drys out your skin, but thankfully these two have hydrating functions as well as SPF. It is crucial to protect your face from the sun.
Step 5: Lip Care
Don’t forget your lips. This is the worst for me, but the easiest to achieve
I also love to do hydrating face masks and I make sure that I drink half my body weight in ounces of water a day. This is basically my AM skincare routine. I do this every day. I will do double dose regular serum and vitamin c serum, depending on how my skin feels that day. Also, I don’t wash my face in the morning before I do my regimen.
